Currently, she is Production Director for the Joyce Trisler Danscompany and Stage Manager for Lar Lubovitch Dance Company. After graduating from New York University in 1962, Ms. Glorsky began a distinguished career in a variety of artistic responsibilities.

Ms. Glorsky was the co-founder and Director of Tag Foundation, Ltd., producer of Dance Umbrella and the New York Dance Festival from 1971-1981. TAG (the Technical Assistance Group) was a not-for-profit service organization for dance and theatre. Its services included: information on rehearsal and performance space, equipment sources, dance floors, technical specifications of theatres; referrals - supplying employers with the names of qualified production personnel; consultations based on the cumulative experience of the TAG staff and other professionals; and workshops and seminars on company and stage management for dance.

In opera, Ms. Glorsky worked with the Dallas Civic Opera, Kansas City Opera, and the American National Opera Company under the direction of Sarah Caldwell.

In 1960 Ms. Glorsky began thirty years of artistic success stage managing and lighting a distinguished list of dance associations. A partial List includes the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, the American Ballet Theatre, Chicago City Ballet (Paul Mejia and Maria Tallchief, Directors), The Harkness Ballet, Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, as well as Les Grand Ballets Canadiens, Martha Graham Dance Company, and lighting designer for Nureyev and Friends produced by the Nederlander Organization.

On Broadway, Ms. Glorsky was assistant to Tom Shelton on Peter Pan, to Bob Fosse for Chicago and Pippin, assisted Michael Bennett with Seesaw and Thieves, Apple Tree with Mike Nichols, plus a revival of Showboat for the New York State Theatre.

Lectures and teaching have also been an integral part of Ms. Glorsky's exciting career. Most recently she taught a course on stage management and lighting design for dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Among her lectures from 1981 to 1984 was one on "Cutting Costs of Touring" at the annual conference for the National Association for Regional Ballet in Columbus, Ohio and participation on a panel entitled "Backstage Women Upfront" at a seminar in New York City entitled "Networking for Women in the Performing Arts."

Toms River is proud to induct Maxine Glorsky into the Hall of Fame and to recognize her outstanding contribution to the arts. Her success in a demanding, technical field is but one reflection of her avid interest and lifelong devotion to artistic expression and the enrichment of our lives through dance and musical theatre.
